We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Call Handler to join our team. Call handlers play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics, recovery and rescue operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
-Taking telephone bookings from members of the public and/or breakdown organisations.
– Checking garage, dealer, repairer bookings to ensure efficient transit from roadside to repair.
– Answering customer queries
– Keeping customer and breakdown organisations updated around the recovery process, ETA, repair times.
– Liaising with work providers and key stakeholders.
– Taking payments in person or via telephone.
– Utilising state of the art technology to enhance the breakdown recovery journey.
– Being first point of contact for customers, recovery patrols, breakdown organisations and key partners.
Requirements
– Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
– Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
– Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
– A positive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to changing work conditions.

This role requires an element of flexible working.
Our Control Room operates 24hrs a day 7 days a week.
Shifts are 9 hrs per day with 30 minute unpaid lunch break
42hrs per week average – Shifts can range from 0700-2300 – Rota issued 4 weeks in advance.
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
